BoxTops
Last call for BoxTops! If you’ve been putting BoxTops aside for the school, now is the time to turn them all in! Our final collection will end this week, so send them into the school by tomorrow (Thursday, June 15th) so your teachers can get them to the office in time. Be sure to label your sealed bag or submission paper with your grade so your class gets credit!

Digital BoxTops
This is a great weay to continue collecting over the summer. If you haven’t already, please consider downloading the free app (Box Tops Bonus App) on your smart device to help us continue with this program! Once you have downloaded the app, you will be able to scan your receipts after shopping instead of remembering to cut out and send in the individual items. As a bonus, if you continue to also collect the labels, we can still send them in to receive DOUBLE POINTS!

AmazonSmile
The AmazonSmile program runs all year long! Please consider supporting Eagle View through the summer with this program. High-level information included below:

What is AmazonSmile?

AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop through smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization (in our case: Eagle View Elementary PTA)!

What do I need to do?

To shop at AmazonSmile, simply go to smile.amazon.com from your computer or mobile device. You may also want to add a bookmark to smile.amazon.com to make it even easier to return.

On your first visit to smile.amazon.com, Amazon will prompt you to select your charitable organization (in our case: Eagle View Elementary PTA). Once you’ve selected this, Amazon will remember your selection. Then each time you shop through Amazon, just rememeber to go through smile.amazon.com instead of their main URL. It’s that easy! Try it out!

Principal Selection Panel

The PTA was asked to assist the Region in the Principal Selection Process by obtaining the names of community members interested in serving on the principal selection panel, which will be held Tuesday, June 13th at the Gatehouse Administrative Center in Falls Church. We ask that any community member that submits their name as a candidate to serve on the panel confirm they are available for the entire day (7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.) The panel may not take the entire day, but in case it does, we want to be sure all are available for the entire process.

Community representatives should be those who are committed to the principal selection process and the future of Eagle View Elementary School. The panel members should represent the diversity of the school, the various ages/grade levels of children in the school, various programs/activities in which their children are involved, etc.

The PTA asks any community member who would like to serve on the panel to provide the information below by Friday, May 26thand then the PTA will compile the final list of interested community members to submit to the Region. If more than 6 community members are interested, the PTA board will narrow the list down to 6.

From those 6 community member names submitted, the Region Assistant Superintendent will select 3 to participate and 1alternate for the panel.

Below is a guide for the information you need to submit to Harry Pilson, evesptapres@gmail.com.
